Creating your first project
To create your first Project, simply click on the "New Project" button in the top right. A "New Project" modal will open for you to get started.
On the "New Project" modal, you'll start with the Project name and you'll also assign a color to the Project. The color will be used for tracking the Project on your dashboard and on the Lancelot scheduling tool.
Next, you'll add your Primary Contact for the project. This is typically the client you're working with. You can add a new client or you can select an existing client if you already have clients in your Lancelot account.
Lastly, you have the option to use the scheduling functionality where you can enter your estimated start and end dates for the project. Once you start the Project, you can update the "Actual Start Date" and when you've finished you can update the "Actual End Date." We'll create your visual timeline that can be found at the bottom of your Project dashboard.
